Over the years, I have come to deeply appreciate the transformative power of yoga in my own life. I feel called to share the gifts that arise through practice — a deeper relationship with breath, self-forgiveness, gratitude, resilience, and a conscious approach to living a life you love… on and off the mat.
I have practiced yoga since the mid-1980s and have been teaching since 2010. It is my heart’s desire to inspire, encourage, and support those who wish to move, build strength, and increase mobility and flexibility in a safe, nurturing environment.
My teaching is grounded in compassion, thoughtful guidance, and respect for the uniqueness of every body.
Life has led me along many paths, each bringing me back to Inner Guidance — that intuitive, steady presence where truth is felt and peace becomes possible.
I believe the body is a sacred home for awareness and care, and each asana an opportunity for presence and healing.

What makes Golden Age Yoga different?
Golden Age Yoga welcomes every body and every stage of life. Guided by decades of personal practice and years of teaching experience, Laura brings compassionate awareness and grounded wisdom to each session, honoring the unique needs and rhythms of real bodies living real lives.

It is her intention to offer classes that emphasize breath, mindful alignment, and compassionate guidance through each posture. Clear instruction and an understanding of functional movement and biomechanical alignment help students move safely while discovering greater ease, freedom, and confidence — regardless of age or experience.
Props are encouraged and frequently used to support comfort, stability, and accessibility, allowing each participant to practice in a way that honors their individual needs and optimizes their potential for ease and wellbeing.
At the close of each virtual session, there is an opportunity to pause, connect, and share in the quiet nourishment of community — a welcoming space where presence, kindness, and belonging are gently cultivated.

Your Body ~ Your Laboratory

We each live in our own laboratory ~ our bodies teach us. No matter our age, most of us have had physical, psychological, or emotional issues that have impacted our lives. These experiences and their impact on our body, mind and spirit are exactly what have motivated us to practice Yoga and engage with an approach that integrates the understanding of our body with the purpose of attaining Resilience ~ strength, flexibility and mobility as well as ease of mind and a happy heart.
